The standout was the house salad with beautiful baby gems lettuce & fresh vegetables. It was perfectly dressed. They also sell artisan ice cream and have a selection of natural sodas plus cute locally made items. A true gem of a place, with a lovely staff. We met the owner as well who could not be more kind.
I walked around the square first and checked out all the menus and interiors, and this is the one that looked best. It screams “intentional” and made with love. Five stars.- Type de repas

A beautiful cafe with delicious coffee, delicious food and really friendly staff. I would highly recommend it and the town itself is also super cute for exploring. They were so friendly to our little girl, offering a place to change her, high chair etc. Thank you ❤️

Whenever I am in town, Café de L’Église is a MUST visit! Exceptional food - always fresh, exquisitely presented, obviously made with love and for bonus points: locally sourced. Service is fast, friendly and the decor is sweet, charming and feels like a comforting hug as you dine. If the sun is shining, try to get a table in the secret courtyard for an even more intimate experience!
Cannot recommend this cafe highly enough - it truly and easily stands far above the standard local fare nearby. If you want an exceptionally presented, deliciously prepared dining experience which supports local producers, Café de L’Église is THE place to visit…and you can even bring your furry friends as it is dog-friendly. The servers are always attentive & caring, offering fresh water for your puppy.
Next time I visit I’ll be sure to photograph my plates…I tend to dive into these wonderful meals too quickly! Truly a fantastique dining experience! Bravo et Merci 🙏🏼- Service

My husband and I recently visited Sainte-Mère-Église to see the Airborne museum and decided to stop at this lovely café/restaurant for a quick drink and something to eat with our two young children. What a wonderful choice it turned out to be!
We sat in the cozy back room, which had such charming décor and, to our delight, a small corner with toys and books to keep the little ones entertained. This thoughtful touch made a huge difference, as it allowed my husband and me to actually enjoy our lunch with both hands free (a rare luxury when traveling with children!).
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. For lunch, we tried the fish soup, which was absolutely delicious, truly a taste of authentic French cuisine. We also had a great coffee and a French toast for desert. The whole experience was so satisfying and uplifting that it set the perfect tone for the rest of our day exploring the town!
A big thank you to the lovely ladies who served us. This is a beautiful place to stop! We left in great spirits and would happily return on our next visit :)- Cuisine

I recently dined at this lovely French lunch spot, and it was a delightful experience. The croissants le brunch were perfect and really recommended. Everything is well-balanced if it comes to taste and both the cappuccino and flat white were delicious. What truly stood out was the owner’s warm hospitality and excellent English. This place is a must-visit for an authentic experience that’s both memorable and special!

What a Gem of restaurant, Food was so good with all the right flavors, Cappuccino was delicious! The ladys were so nice, the owner was one of the lady's she was so nice and so talkative with us. If I ever get back again in my life time I will definitely be back here...

Food was excellent and reasonably priced with a decent range of options on the menu (including vegetarian options). Despite being busy service was relatively quick. Staff were helpful and pleasant despite the French-English language barrier. Would recommend, especially if you are visiting the town on a battlefield tour.

It was an amazing place and I enjoyed the french food, (especially their croissant sandwiches) and the servers were nice, can't wait to go again next time I'm in France!

The best little cafe in town. Their coffee is of amazing quality, the woman behind the bar was super friendly en they had the most amazing cake ever: french toast cake. It sounds interesting but if you’re there try it because it’s so freaking good
